Home building

A photo of Wilda (in a white dress) in April 2013 when she joined the Sponsorship programme and a photo of her during our visit in December 2013.

The hut (above) is where Wilda lived with her brother Franket (pictured with their father) and three other family members. In April 2013, the hut blew down, leaving the family temporarily homeless. A makeshift tent became their home. In 2017 a hurricane destroyed the tent home. Shai Foundation built the family a suitable home in 2018. See below.

Wilda, her brother Franket, and their family were supported through the Shai Foundation’s Matumaini Sponsorship Programme from April 2013 until 2021.
